I've been going back and forth to my mom's house to use her sewing machine and it's really hard to do with a 3 month old. Elle doesn't want to sleep when she's at grandma's house, I think it's because of the lights. We like to keep her in the dark at our house apparently. Anyways, she stays wide awake for the most part and even when she goes to sleep, it's only for a short time. Plus of course my mom has to watch her either way if I want to sew and that just doesn't work out too long cuz that woman can't sit still for a minute, the apple didn't fall far from the tree:). Also, the machine was in the basement so it was hard for me to run up if I had to.
So, I was talking to my mom today and mentioned how I wanted to come over but with the cold and the fact that even if I had gone there, I really wouldn't get much done so what's the point and asked if I could possibly have her machine. And of course she said yes. She needs it sometime next year but that's more than enough time and if I can make some extra money on etsy in the meantime, I can buy my own machine then. You'll probably thinking what the big deal is about getting her machine when I can go out and buy a cheap machine for my house. Well, the deal is that I've learned how to sew on an industrial machine that has a motor and all. And I can't work with a home brand machine. It drives me wild because it's 10x slower than the industrial type.
I've been getting some ideas for baby gear and I started cutting out a bunch of patterns and been so wanting to get them sewed and I will finally get to do that. The worst part of it is that the only place to put it is in my living room but so be it. I live in a sty for the most part, who needs another clean room.
I can't wait until Sunday to get my machine here...
Lovely sewing machine.

Lazy Sunday
Sunday, October 21, 2007 | at 8:38 PM |
it really was a lazy sunday. even though i woke up pretty early, my 3 month old baby slept pretty well and woke up smiling at 8am which is amazing. Waking up to a smiling beautiful baby is the best gift in the world. I don't want to sound corny but I love my baby and want an entire litter of children.
i have started to get my online business going but it all stopped once i got pregnant and i am planning to start up again. I want to sell handmade, one of kind reconstructed vintage clothes and now baby stuff. I cut out some patterns today for these oh so easy to put on booties and boppy covers and a mei tai wrap. I'm not sure when it'll all get done but if people like them, i really want to do a street fair next year. I did one last june and it did better than expected. there's still so much to learn about opening an online business but i'll do that once i start making some real money. for now it's all about baby and if i have time to make and sell stuff, wonderful.

I'm usually really quiet when I meet new people and new situations. I find this whole blogging world a mystery but i'm going to dive in and see if i like it. this is my first post, i dont' like the shift button very much so excuse the non capitals. it's not because i have poor grammar, which i do a little but i'm just more lazy.
this is my first post, and it's late and i'm sick and tired, literally sick, not just sick and tired. I have a cold so not too into writing at the moment.
