Elle's birthday party is next Sunday and I haven't been this stressed out since planning our own wedding. Yes, it's almost that big. I met with a decorator that specifically does "dol" decoration, thanks to Diana. But I just found out about her yesterday and met with her this morning. The timing is too tight to do the entire decorations and it's way too pricey for us but had I known about it awhile back, I'd probably have budgeted for it cuz it's adorable!!
So with the couple of pieces made from her and the rest by me, I think it'll be fine. I also found out about this great bakery from Elle's boyfriends' birthday also on saturday and I really want something from there since I haven't decided on a cake yet. I don't know why I'm getting all these great ideas so late.
I've been kinda walking around in a daze from feeling completely overwhelmed and there's still so much more detail I have to sort out. I just hope I get it all sorted out before the party and allocate jobs to other people so I can enjoy my baby on her special day. Wish me luck. Thank goodness for the stimulus check, I think it'll just about cover the entire birthday party.
One week left

You are not kidding! I can't even bare to tell people the amount of money that we spent on that dol party! Luckily for me, my bf's parents paid for the dinner so our only responsibility was the decorations. Otherwise, we could have NEVER managed it!
My only advice to you is to try as much as you can to sit back and enjoy the ride this week. No matter what, everything will work out just fine and that sweet little baby will turn one. I wish I had taken more moments to just sit back and hold Hayden and soak in the moment!
I also have a cute explanation sheet that I will email you. We put it in the invitations, but perhaps you could edit it a bit and hand it out to the party for anyone that wants a little more info on the tradition.
And enjoy it! It is such a fun tradition! And take tons of pics to share! :)

I'm sure you'll get everything planned and it'll be a great party. My son's first birthday is Sunday, the 29th, as well and is his actual birthday. But I'm lazy and always go to visit my family hundreds of miles away and let my mom do all the work for my children's dols. hehe
Elle is a cutie.
LOL, oh my! It's going to be a big party! I can't wait to see pictures!
I know it will be beautifully perfect! I wish I could be there!
