Ok, so I admit I saw this idea on Oprah, I don't know why it's such a taboo professing my love for that show, not the woman, the show. It seems like no one I talk to ever like her but yet, she's the richest woman on earth? Anyways, I am also that person that would never really come out and say it but secretly, I can't wait to see her shows. So I got this idea from one of her shows about visualizing what you want in life and that it will come to you. And this washer and dryer you see, THAT'S what I want. Not riches and fame, not a trip to the caribbeans, not a day in the spa, energy efficient washer and dryer. You see to me, getting this washer and dryer, being able to afford it would mean that I will have enough money to be able to live comfortably. It would mean that I would save money not having to dry my load of washes twice because my washer isn't strong enough to squeeze out all the water and because my dryer isn't strong enough. The current washer and dryer was purchased from craigslist about 3 years ago for $175 for both. It was used and low end GE washer and dryer but it worked.
Having a nice washer and dryer would mean I could actually finish the piles of laundry in one day instead of three since I wouldn't have to dry each load twice for 80 minutes. Having a nice washer and dryer would mean I could spend my nights after the girls go to sleep working on crafts instead of folding laundry. Ok, you got me, I really don't fold my laundry anymore unless I have guests coming. Clean or dirty they just sit in piles, I just know which is which. But it would mean that I wouldn't spend virtually every night doing laundry and worrying that my loud ass washer and dryer might wake up my babies.
Having a nice washer and dryer to me isn't just about having a nice washer and dryer, it means that we're out of our rut financially. But most of all, having a nice washer and dryer would just make me happy and that's enough of a reason to wish I had it.
